JOES TORTURED SOUL was founded on a simple belief: the best ideas are born from persistence, individuality, and the courage to create something different.
In a world driven by trends and mass production, we chose another path—one rooted in craftsmanship, storytelling, and intentional design. Every collection reflects the pursuit of originality, celebrating the people who refuse to follow the crowd.

Our Story
Founded in Virginia by designer and Creative Director Joe Cherry, JOES TORTURED SOUL was built from a lifelong passion for footwear, street culture, art, and design.
For decades, Joe has immersed himself in sneaker culture, retail, and creative entrepreneurship. He has worked worked with countless brands through the streetwear / pop culture spectrum from Rocafella to Nike.Those experiences inspired a vision for an independent brand that could stand alongside the world’s most respected names—not by copying them, but by offering something unmistakably original.
Every collection reflects that vision: timeless silhouettes, premium materials, and thoughtful details that reward those who appreciate true craftsmanship.
The 083 Trainer
The 083 Trainer is our signature silhouette.
Inspired by the iconic running shoes of the late 1980s and early 1990s, it blends nostalgic proportions with modern luxury construction. Every pair is crafted using carefully selected premium materials, including fine leather and suede, creating a sneaker that feels as exceptional as it looks.
Rather than producing thousands of pairs, each colorway is released in limited quantities, preserving its exclusivity and collectible nature.
